key responsibilities

leadership & team management

manage the earthworks team, working closely with the works manager and senior general foremen (gfs) to allocate resources and oversee daily operations.

act as the primary interface for the planning team to coordinate and schedule all earthworks milestones.

provide mentorship and guidance to sub-agents and junior engineering staff.

operational coordination

synchronise earthworks with other critical site disciplines, including drainage, fencing teams to prevent clashes and delays.

develop detailed methodology and sequence diagrams to visualize and communicate the construction process.

manage client expectations through regular reporting and professional engagement.

technical compliance & quality assurance (qa)

produce and communicate work package plans (wpp) and rams, incorporating feedback from subcontractors.

Junior Engineer

my client is seeking to recruit a number of site engineers in ayelsbury with drainage or earthworks experience.

the site engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations.
 
you will be required to liaise with the sub agent and section foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
 
you will be responsible for work with the other team members of the setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the junior engineers and also for identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and sub-agent. monitoring and coordinating subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements.
